Stumpys are a patented mirror extension for Toyota 70 Series Land Cruisers (76 & 78 Series, 2007-2023) designed to improve rear-vision for daily driving or towing small to medium size boats, trailers, camper-trailers and caravans. These extensions utilise the existing side mirrors, maintaining an OEM look without requiring professional installation. Made from Nylon, stronger than ABS plastic, and coated with CERAKOTE for UV-Resistance, they are durable and long-lasting.   • How long are Stumpys? Stumpys are a 90mm extension.
  • Are Stumpys removable? Stumpys are intended to be permanently installed. They are not designed to be temporarily installed and removed repeatedly based on the towing load; Although they can be removed and changed back to OEM configuration any time.
  • Are Stumpys extendable? No. Stumpys are fixed length.
  • Will the mirror retain full adjustability after installation of the extension? There is a reduction in the adjustability of the mirror at the end of the extension, however overall visibility behind the vehicle and past the load is improved.
  • Will Stumpys allow better vision to the ground? No, however adhesive fish-eye mirrors are included to further improve visibility, bringing the tyres into view and reducing the blind spot inherent with 70 Series Wagons and Troopcarriers.
  • What is the max width trailer, boat or caravan Stumpys are designed for? Max width is 2100 wide.
  • Are Stumpys sold as a pair? Yes, two extensions are supplied.

Vehicle regulations state that mirrors shall not extend greater than 150mm past the widest part of the vehicle, thus 90mm is the longest fixed-length extension that the Wagon and Troopcarrier can accommodate for permanent installation.

I rarely leave reviews. But after purchasing a pair of STUMPYS I found them to be unique in design & construction, aesthetically pleasing as they blend in with the Troopy, but more importantly allow me to see more of what is behind me than just the rear quarter panel. No need for 'eye-sore' extension mirrors, that vibrate and wobble as you drive. Stumpy's are more than ideal for those that want to tow or just see whats behind you and in the distance as well.
